About the Role
As a Rock Wall Staff Associate, you will be responsible for supervising climbers, maintaining safety regulations, and ensuring a positive experience for all participants. Your daily tasks will include keeping climber logs, supervising classes, administering first-aid and CPR as necessary, and supporting the mission of the YMCA. You will work under the supervision of the Executive Director and participate in staff trainings and meetings.
About You
Required:
- At least 17 years old
- High school graduate or equivalent or in the process of acquiring a diploma
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications or working towards certifications
- Must be able to work with children indoors and outdoors
- Must be patient, utilize self-control and flexible to new situations
- Must be enthusiastic, friendly and keep calm in stressful situations
Preferred:
- Experience in climbing or working at climbing centers
