Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. (STi) is seeking a RMF Manager – Submarine Networks to join their team in Norfolk, VA. The role involves supporting the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment & Authorization (A&A) process for COMSUBLANT submarine networks.
About the Role
As a RMF Manager / Network Certification Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring submarine units achieve and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) compliance in accordance with Navy cybersecurity policy. Your daily tasks will include reviewing and validating A&A documentation, tracking A&A process timelines, providing guidance on A&A policies, and advising Type Commanders on A&A process status and recommendations for improvement.
About You
Required:
- Active SECRET clearance at time of hire.
- Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience with submarine network systems and/or major network administration systems aboard U.S. Navy submarines (or equivalent civilian).
- Minimum 5 years’ management experience in secure IS environments aboard Navy ships/submarines.
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level I certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) or ability to obtain before start.
- Ability to perform physically aboard ships: extended walking, ladder climbing, confined spaces, working aloft.
Preferred:
- Prior experience preparing and submitting ATO packages.
- Familiarity with submarine network architecture and CSL A&A processes.
- Strong communication skills for technical and policy briefings.
