About the Role
As a Healthcare Referral Specialist, you will manage incoming and outgoing patient referrals, coordinate with healthcare providers, maintain patient referral records in the EMR system, act as a liaison between patients and insurance companies, track referral processes, and educate patients on the referral process. You will also collaborate with staff to improve the referral process and enhance patient satisfaction.
About You
Required:
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a role handling referrals.
- Bilingual, proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare insurance practices.
Preferred:
- Associates Degree.
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with EMR systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
