Summary
Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a Quality Engineer [CWI / Mechanical / QC] (Quality Engineer 3/4) to join their team in Los Alamos, NM. The role involves performing quality control inspections, developing inspection procedures, and applying expert-level quality control techniques.
About the Role
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting Level II QC inspections, evaluating problems, making recommendations for corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with quality control standards. Depending on the level of the position, you may also apply advanced quality control techniques and statistical process control methods to analyze data and improve processes.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, QE, or Industrial Systems Engineering or a related field.
- Current or prior qualification as an American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector.
- Advanced knowledge of quality regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Experience with quality control in nuclear and/or DOE QE programs.
Preferred:
- 12 years of related experience for Quality Engineer 4 level.
- Working knowledge and experience with DOE QC programs of more than 3 years.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
- Active DOE Q Clearance and Active HRP status.
