About the Role
About You
- BS or BA degree, preferably in an environmental discipline, sciences, or engineering.
- At least 2-4 years relevant experience in SWPPP, including sampling and analysis.
- Knowledge of water quality or Stormwater management techniques, practices, laws, and regulations.
- Knowledge of the California State Water Board Permits.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Current QSP / QSD Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Relevant certifications such as CESSWI, CPESC, CPSWQ, or QISP.
- Cross-training in natural resources including wetlands and/or environmental permitting.
- Experience with the California Stormwater Multiple Application and Report Tracking System (SMARTS).
- Familiarity with the California Stormwater Construction General Permit and CASQA Construction Handbook.
- Competency with Arc GIS Pro.

Surf to Snow Environmental Resource Management, Inc. With 60 employees we offer diverse experience in environmental planning, permitting, biological monitoring, GIS, and stormwater management (SWPPPs and BMPs), quality assurance and quality control, environmental laws and regulations (e.g., Regional Water Board Basin Plans, State Water Resource Control Board Integrated 305(b)/303(d) Report, Section 401 Water Quality Certifications, Army Corps of Engineers Section 404, California Department of Fish and Wildlife Section 1600, and other local or regional permitting requirements), as well as landscape architecture/design, and construction. Our primary office is in San Ramon, CA, with smaller offices throughout the state.
