Summary
Cleveland Public Library is seeking a Library Substitute to join their team in Cleveland, OH. This part-time position involves assisting patrons in all areas of Public Services on an as-needed basis.
About the Role
As a Library Substitute, you will be responsible for performing basic public service tasks, assisting patrons in finding and reserving materials, facilitating computer use, and supporting library-related programming and services. You will also handle clerical tasks such as writing, typing, and managing correspondence, while ensuring effective relations with all library personnel and patrons.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year's customer service experience, preferably in a community-based service organization.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience working with preschool and school-aged youth.
- Experience in a public library or public-sector environment.
