About the Role
As a Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing in-person clinical assessments, prescribing medications, coordinating care with other healthcare providers, and educating interdisciplinary team members. You will work primarily during weekdays with no on-call or weekend hours, focusing on both clinical care and administrative tasks.
About You
Required:
- Current State issued Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner / PMHNP license
- 2+ years' experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- DEA Certification with full prescriptive authority
- Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications and EMR systems
- Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain CPR certification in the first 30 days of employment
- Requires personal transportation, valid state-issued driver’s license, good driving record and auto insurance as required by law.
Preferred:
- Experience working with geropsychiatry populations
- Licensure or certification in substance-use treatment
- Training or experience with group and family interventions
- Experience with conflict management, mediation, de-escalation, and crisis mitigation
- Knowledge of chronic disease management and psycho-social implications
- Bilingual
