POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Protection Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join their SCADA and Analytical Services (SAS) team, with the home office located in Boise, ID or Salt Lake City, UT, offering remote work options.
About the Role
As a Senior Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for the successful completion of assigned projects, maintaining and improving client relationships, and developing new technical service areas. Your projects will include electrical studies for utility and industrial/commercial clients, analyzing systems such as conventional and renewable generation facilities, substations, and transmission and distribution systems. You will utilize your expertise in protective relaying, including short circuit analysis, time-current coordination, and integration with SCADA systems, while ensuring NERC compliance and conducting arc flash analysis.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- Ten (10) + years of industry experience
- PE or equivalent
Preferred:
- Power Systems focused MSEE
- Proven history of completing similar projects in a consulting environment
- Experience in mentoring others and providing technical and commercial leadership in customer-focused engineering projects
