About the Role
As a Project Mechanical Engineer, you will lead mechanical design for federal projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems for healthcare and institutional facilities. You will apply knowledge of VA design standards, UFC, and IBC codes to ensure regulatory compliance, prepare detailed engineering documents, cost estimates, and design calculations, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, support proposal development, and mentor junior engineers.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- PE license required.
- 6+ years of experience in mechanical design.
Preferred:
- Strong preference for VA or healthcare facility experience.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC design software.
- Familiarity with VA design standards and federal project delivery processes.
- Strong communication and project coordination skills.
