About the Role
As a Project Archaeologist, you will be responsible for managing archaeological projects, interacting with clients and regulatory agencies, preparing cultural resources reports, and conducting investigations and surveys. You will also lead field teams and ensure adherence to the latest archaeological methods and compliance standards.
About You
Required:
- Master’s Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, historic preservation, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant post-education experience in Section 106/110 compliance and CRM archaeology.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory framework for heritage resource management compliance.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Expertise in the archaeology of the Midwest and Southeast Regions.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide guidance to junior team members.
Preferred:
- Active participation in professional practice organizations.
- Specialist knowledge evidenced through publications/presentations and work experience in the Central United States.
