About the Role
As a Produce/Assistant Department Leader, you will be responsible for promoting trust and respect among associates, establishing department performance goals, training and developing associates, creating a welcoming environment for customers, managing inventory processes, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. You will also assist in budget preparation and implement promotional plans to drive sales.
About You
Required:
- Excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Current food handlers permit once employed.
Preferred:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Any management experience.
- Any produce/retail experience.
- Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing).
