Raytheon is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Tomahawk External Interfaces to join their team in Tucson, AZ. The role involves leading systems engineering efforts and coordinating external interfaces for the Tomahawk missile program.
About the Role
As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will lead a small team of systems engineers, participate in government working groups, and serve as the point of contact for external interface topics. Your responsibilities will include cross-functional collaboration, supporting trade studies, reviewing proposed interface changes, and managing documentation in accordance with systems engineering procedures.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and eight (8) years of engineering experience.
- Experience in Systems Engineering, Architecture, and/or Design.
- Experience on a Missile Program.
- Experience working on a cross-functional team of Systems Engineers and multidiscipline engineers.
- Experience leading a functional and/or technical team.
- Experience interfacing with customers or suppliers.
Preferred:
- Post Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics and five (5) years’ engineering experience.
- Understanding of Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle.
- Prior work experience giving technical briefs or presentations with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Performing Functional & Physical Analyses and Allocation.
- Maintaining Specifications.
- Past work experience conducting trade studies.
- Current Top Secret clearance.
