Summary
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Principal Engr: Validation Manager to join their team in East Hartford, CT. The role involves managing validation plans, risk mitigation, and supporting engine testing and inspections.
About the Role
As a Principal Engr: Validation Manager, you will be responsible for developing and negotiating validation plans, defining risk mitigation strategies, and managing documentation for government customer reviews. You will also prioritize and execute configuration and validation requirements, support cross-discipline module integration, and act as a Cost Account Manager for module-level work packages.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and 8+ years of relevant engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree in the same fields with 5+ years of experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred:
- Experience working in the Aerospace Industry, particularly with jet engines.
- Previous gas turbine compressor experience.
- Project, Industrial, Validation, Manufacturing, and/or Program Management experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, Smartsheets, MS Project, or other scheduling software.
- Experience in Agile Project Management, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Familiarity with Jira software and continuous improvement principles.
