Summary
Labcorp is hiring a Principal Data Scientist to join their team in Raleigh, NC. The role involves producing innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from complex datasets and delivering solutions to internal business users.
About the Role
As a Principal Data Scientist, you will lead modeling and technology development, mentor junior team members, refine best practices in modeling and software engineering, and communicate technical ideas to non-technical partners. You will also build software infrastructure for data management, participate in the full development cycle, write production quality code, and develop success metrics for projects.
About You
Required:
- Master’s Degree with at least 7 years of experience or Ph.D. with 5 years of experience in a full-stack data science setting.
- Proficiency with Python and SQL.
- Experience in data analysis and statistical learning.
- Experience with software engineering and architecture best practices.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with health-related data.
- Experience with statistical methodologies and machine learning techniques such as neural networks and natural language processing.
- Strong data visualization skills.
