About the Role
As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will lead and collaborate with cross-functional project teams to design COTS hardware infrastructure systems, research and select appropriate hardware components, and define BIOS and operating system configurations. You will also be responsible for system prototyping and integration in the lab.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum eight (8) years of professional experience in hardware and software, including Unix and Linux operating systems.
- Experience developing and implementing computing, networking, and information technology infrastructure.
- Experience with complete COTS-based hardware design and verification via integration and test plans.
- Experience working in a lab environment with standard test equipment.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
Preferred:
- Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Current or in-progress computing/networking certification(s) (e.g. CCNA, AWS, CISSP).
- Experience with RADAR system hardware.
- Experience with Firewall design and configuration.
- Experience implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides and network hardening.
- Willingness to support occasional domestic and potential international travel.
