Summary
Zeus is seeking a Plant Machinist for the night shift in Columbia, SC. The role involves supporting the tool and die needs of the production and maintenance departments.
About the Role
As a Plant Machinist, you will set up and operate machines for the construction, maintenance, repair, and alteration of tooling, machinery, and machine parts. You will enter work-related data into Oracle, follow ISO procedures, inspect your own work, and actively participate in the shop 5S program.
About You
Required:
- Basic skills on manual lathes, mills, drill presses, saws, and bench and surface grinders.
- Proficient in the use of micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other standard machine shop measuring devices.
- Two (2) years of industrial machinist experience.
Preferred:
- CNC experience.
- Tool making experience.
- Associates degree in Machine Tool field.
