Amedisys Home Health is seeking a Physician Hospice to join their team in Rosedale, MD. The role involves providing quality palliative care and consulting with patients and healthcare teams.
About the Role
As a Physician Hospice, you will function as a consultant to patients, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to assure provision of quality palliative care, including pain and symptom management. You will conduct evaluations and certifications of terminal prognosis, serve on the Professional Advisory Committee, and conduct educational seminars to improve patient care and promote hospice services. Additionally, you will be available for consultations on acute patient clinical problems and joint visits when necessary.
About You
Required:
- Doctor of medicine or osteopathy degree from an accredited medical school.
- Current and unencumbered license to practice specific to the state you are assigned to work.
- Membership in good standing on the medical staff of at least one contracted hospital.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred:
- Board certification in hospice and palliative care.
- Experience working with patients in hospice and palliative care.
