Oakland Community Health Network is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team in Pontiac, MI. The role involves diagnosing psychiatric disorders and providing psychiatric services to individuals incarcerated at the Oakland County Jail.
About the Role
As a Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, managing medication responses, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Your duties will include providing emergency psychiatric coverage, monitoring individuals on behavior watch, and ensuring accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record. You will also work with the on-site pharmacy to manage psychotropic medications and provide discharge prescriptions.
About You
Required:
- Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from a nationally accredited university.
- Active Physician Assistant license in Michigan.
- At least five (5) years of clinical experience.
Preferred:
- Experience within a carceral and/or inpatient psychiatric and/or crisis stabilization setting.
- Experience with high acuity patient population.
