About the Role
As a Phlebotomist and Specimen Collector, you will perform venipuncture and capillary punctures, ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling, collect urine and saliva specimens, educate patients on collection procedures, and provide exceptional customer service. You will also process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, follow safety protocols, maintain confidentiality, and participate in compliance programs.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program or certification from an accredited institution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- State phlebotomy certification or licensure may be required, depending on location.
- Proven experience as a phlebotomist and specimen collector.
