Town of Nantucket is seeking a PC+Early Learning Specialist to join their team in Nantucket, MA. The role involves visiting and coordinating with families enrolled in the Parent-Child Plus program to support child development and family engagement.
About the Role
As a PC+Early Learning Specialist, you will be responsible for visiting assigned families twice a week, demonstrating reading, play, and verbal interaction behaviors with children aged 16 months to four years. You will also provide resources and referrals to support families, document visits for reporting purposes, and attend additional weekly meetings with the home visiting team. Flexibility in scheduling is required, including possible morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or higher certificate in a related field.
- Exemplary communication and outreach skills.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese.
- Experience in child development, education, customer service, or lived experience with the program.
Benefits
- Hourly rate of $27 per hour.
