- High School / GED equivalent or related work experience.
- Experience with medical office practices and protocols, including scheduling and insurance procedures.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage concurrent assignments effectively.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve issues independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and patients.
- Ability to handle high-volume patient calls in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer applications for medical office management, including typing skills for accurate data entry.
- Knowledge of health care insurance systems and medical coding guidelines.
- Three years of customer service or call center experience.
- Recent experience with EMR systems like EPIC.
- Training in billing, authorizations, and medical terminology.
- Experience in an outpatient medical office setting.
- Familiarity with the specialty of the hiring outpatient clinic.

The UC Davis Clinical and Translational Science Center is dedicated to supporting biomedical research through innovation and collaboration.
