UVA Community Health is seeking a Patient Partnership Specialist to join their team in Manassas, VA. The role involves coordinating and managing the complaint/grievance process to ensure patients receive remarkable care and service.
About the Role
As a Patient Partnership Specialist, you will act as a liaison between patients and the hospital, managing grievances and complaints, and ensuring patient rights are honored. You will communicate effectively with diverse individuals, review processes for quality improvement, and actively participate in enhancing the patient experience. Your responsibilities will include providing updates to patients, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with service line leaders to address grievance trends.
About You
Required:
- Associate's degree required, Bachelor's preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of customer service-related experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage the grievance process using independent judgment and decision-making skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred:
- Notary Public certification.
- Ability to speak Spanish and complete the bilingual competency program.
