About the Role
As a Patient Care Technician I, you will be responsible for performing basic nursing procedures for patients in stable condition, assisting RNs with acutely ill patients, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment. Your daily tasks will include documenting patient care, participating in quality initiatives, and coordinating activities related to patient admissions and discharges.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Limited or no experience with the ability to attend 2 weeks of training
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
- Basic computer skills
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Preferred:
- Acute care experience within the last 3 years
- Currently enrolled in ASN or BSN program, with preference given to those who have completed at least one clinical rotation
- Flexibility to work a rotational schedule including evenings, overnight, and weekends
