About You
- Vocational School Certificate or Associates Degree.
- 2-10 years of experience in CAD design, preferably in electrical or substation/switchyard projects.
- Knowledge of 2D CADD platforms (AutoCAD and MicroStation) and 3D Parametric modeling platforms (Inventor or Solidworks).
- Ability to produce complete and correct CADD drawings following project/client standards.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Tier 1 Utility Design, Inc. Currently, Tier 1 has more than 95 engineers, project managers, designers, drafters, and construction support personnel located in our East coast and Midwest office locations. Our experience includes Substations, Gas Insulated Substations, Switchyards, Overhead and Underground Transmission and Distribution, Gas Distribution, Renewables, Construction Management, and EPC projects. These savings can be realized in manpower resources, utilization of updated technologies, and actual unit pricing of material costs.
