State of Colorado is seeking a Paralegal to join their team in Sterling, CO. The role involves supporting defense attorneys by managing case files, conducting legal research, and assisting with litigation needs.
About the Role
As a Paralegal, you will be responsible for managing and organizing discovery, reviewing and summarizing legal documents, conducting legal research, drafting motions, and providing support during hearings and trials. You will work closely with defense attorneys and be part of a team dedicated to providing effective legal representation for clients who cannot afford counsel.
About You
Required:
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal studies program or accredited institution.
- Two years of experience performing legal support functions such as organizing legal case files, legal research, and preparing legal documents.
Preferred:
- Experience in criminal defense or public defense.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
