About the Role
As a Nutrition Services Worker I, you will be responsible for preparing food for meal service, operating commercial kitchen equipment, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and collaborating with kitchen staff. You may also supervise student workers and assist with food preparation for special functions. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
About You
Required:
- Six months to one year of experience in preparing and serving food.
- Completion of a two-hour Safeschools course within the first year of employment.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation and safe working practices.
Preferred:
- Institutional food service experience.
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
