Summary
WSP in the U.S. is seeking a New York State Structural Engineering Group Leader to foster excellence, innovation, and growth of the structural engineering practice within their Transportation and Infrastructure business line.
About the Role
As a New York State Structural Engineering Group Leader, you will drive business development efforts, manage multiple teams of structural engineers, and advance state-of-the-art engineering practices. Your responsibilities will include mentoring staff, collaborating with various professionals, and ensuring high-quality project delivery while adhering to ethical standards.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.
- 15+ years of experience designing roadway and/or rail bridge, tunnel and related structures.
- Proven business development capability supporting a 70+ person structural engineering team.
- Proven project management and risk management expertise across multidisciplinary project types.
- Professional Engineer Registration in New York State, willing to obtain PE registration in other states.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Experience working on complex and mega-projects.
- Experience with alternative delivery methods.
- Direct experience with major transportation clients including MTA, PANYNJ, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and/or the NYSTA.
