Summary
KBR, Inc. is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer (Senior I) to join their National Security Solutions team in Reston, VA. The role involves conducting modeling, simulation, and analysis of emerging concepts for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
About the Role
As a Modeling and Simulation Engineer (Senior I), you will be an individual contributor on a team of quantitative analysts and modelers. Your responsibilities will include leading small modeling and simulation projects, collaborating with military experts, and instantiating various models in the simulation environment. You will also support the analytic team lead in executing study plans and contribute to the creation of quality deliverables and reports.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Operations Research, or other STEM field, plus 10 years of relevant experience.
- At least 6 years of demonstrated proficiency in AFSIM; experience in other mission-level combat modeling & simulation frameworks such as NGTS will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Proficiency in C++, Python, or other programming language.
- Active Top-Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
Preferred:
- Master of Science in Computer Science, Operations Research, or other STEM field, plus 12 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in model-based systems engineering tools such as CAMEO.
- Proficiency in SysML.
