About the Role
As a Migrant, Refugee, Immigrant Coordinator, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing districtwide models for teaching English to migrant, refugee, and immigrant scholars. Your duties will include leading the Summer School Migrant Program, providing training, developing monitoring rubrics, ensuring alignment of language centers with instructional models, and coordinating the selection of instructional materials. You will also support PreK-12 principals and staff, interface with community agencies, analyze scholar data, and assist in the implementation of best practices for English learners.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in education.
- Teacher certification with an ESL endorsement.
- Trained in the SIOP Instructional model.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in administration or TESOL.
- Work experience in an educational setting.
- Strong background and understanding of curriculum for English Learners.
