Amentum is seeking a Mid - Sr. 3D CAD Modeler to join their team in Dahlgren, VA. The role involves providing parametric modeling and engineering support for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Integrated Topside Design.
About the Role
As a Mid - Sr. 3D CAD Modeler, you will be responsible for creating and updating 3D models of U.S. Navy ships, supporting shipboard laser 3D scanning, and developing models for Computational Electromagnetic (CEM) modeling and analysis. You will utilize Autodesk Inventor Professional or Solidworks for parametric modeling and manage product data using Autodesk Vault Professional.
About You
Required:
- 3 to 10 years of experience in parametric modeling using Autodesk Inventor Professional or Solidworks.
- Experience in 3D CAD model development for ship structures or weapon systems.
- Knowledge of DoD, ASME, ANSI, and other Military standards.
- 1 year of experience in product data management processes using Autodesk Vault Professional.
- Active Secret US Government Clearance.
Preferred:
- Autodesk Inventor Essentials certificate.
