About the Role
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for verifying insurance coverage, explaining billing processes, and resolving any discrepancies. You will greet patients, manage appointment scheduling, process payments, and maintain organized records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Your role is crucial in ensuring a smooth front desk flow and enhancing patient experience.
About You
Required:
- Experience with insurance verification and medical billing.
- Ability to explain complex insurance concepts to patients with empathy and clarity.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a medical office setting as a Medical Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, or in a Customer Service role.
- Tech-savvy with medical billing software and EMR systems.
- Current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred:
- High school diploma; X-Ray Tech, Medical Assistant, or related certification.
- Positive attitude and ability to handle challenging financial conversations.
