Summary
Health Services of North Texas is seeking a Medical Director to join their team in Denton, TX. The role involves providing clinical oversight and managing the daily clinical operation and administration of a multi-disciplinary healthcare center.
About the Role
As a Medical Director, you will serve as a liaison among Senior Leadership and the HSNT medical centers, driving communication and operational areas of medicine. You will lead the development and implementation of high-quality patient care services, ensure compliance with medical policies, and provide clinical supervision of medical staff. Your responsibilities will also include engaging with the Leadership Team to implement strategic directions and maintaining appropriate levels of coverage for patient care.
About You
Required:
- Advanced medical degree.
- Minimum of 7 years clinical practice as a physician preferably in a community-based program.
- Current full unrestricted licensure to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
- Board certification in area of specialty.
- Current registration with DEA, DPS and other such certificates required to legally operate as a practitioner in State of Texas.
- Demonstrated understanding and/or experience in working in a patient-centered medical home environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Progressive experience in managing provider teams and group medical practice.
- Strong community health/public health orientation.
- Demonstrated understanding and/or experience working in an integrated delivery environment.
- Strong problem solver with demonstrated analytical skills.
- Experience or education in HIV and/or infectious diseases.
