About the Role
As a Medical Coding Educator, you will conduct coding quality reviews for inpatient and outpatient records, provide education and mentoring to staff, assist with process improvements and compliance monitoring, and support curriculum development. You will also ensure adherence to coding guidelines and maintain high productivity and accuracy standards.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in HIM/HIT preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of acute care inpatient/outpatient coding experience.
- Certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC required.
Preferred:
- Minimum 3 years of coding auditing/monitoring experience.
- Prior experience in coding education strongly preferred.
