Summary
Conviva Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team in Port Orange, FL. The role involves providing patient care and performing administrative duties as the first point of contact for patients.
About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for discussing symptoms with patients, obtaining vital signs, administering medications and vaccines, performing phlebotomy, collecting specimens, conducting diagnostic tests, sterilizing equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and documenting information in electronic medical records. You will collaborate closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers, delivering direct patient care based on your certification. The position requires adherence to policies and procedures while allowing for some discretion in prioritization and timing of tasks.
About You
Required:
- Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR Certified.
- Willingness to undergo TB screening as part of the hiring process.
Preferred:
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (Arizona, Indiana, & South Carolina candidates require certification).
- Experience in medication/vaccine administration.
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
- Knowledge of Value Based Care, HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
- Phlebotomy experience.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
