About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for scheduling intake appointments, checking in patients, measuring vital signs, assisting medical staff with patient intakes, obtaining lab specimens, preparing treatment rooms, and performing secretarial duties. You will also manage patient inquiries and file lab results.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified or registered Medical Assistant
- Phlebotomy skills
- CPR/BCLS certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to establish a positive rapport with patients
Preferred:
- 1-2 years of prior healthcare experience in a similar field
- Familiarity with State Regulations, DEA regulations, and TJC/CARF Accreditation
- Working knowledge of MS Office and patient management software
