HORST Engineering is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in East Hartford, CT. The role involves translating customer technical data into manufacturing processes for ultra precision aerospace parts.
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing CAD models, creating Bill of Materials (BOM), researching suppliers, estimating manufacturing costs, troubleshooting process issues, and leveraging lean principles to improve production efficiencies. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that manufacturing processes meet customer specifications and standards.
About You
Required:
- Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
- SolidWorks expertise, Certified SolidWorks Professional is a plus
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in an aerospace or precision CNC machining environment
- Strong data driven mindset to analyze process, job cost, and engineering data
- Understanding and application of lean manufacturing principles
- Strong PC skills
- Strong organizational, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Experience with ERP manufacturing software, EPCIOR is a plus
