Summary

Taktile is seeking a Manager Forward Deployed Engineering to join their team in New York, NY. The role involves overseeing a team of Forward Deployed Engineers to enhance customer decision-making through Taktile's platform.

About the Role

As the Manager Forward Deployed Engineering, you will oversee Taktile deployments in production, manage technical delivery across multiple projects, and ensure your team acts as trusted advisors to customers. You will review solution designs, manage team capacity, and partner with product management to influence the product roadmap. Additionally, you will coach and mentor your team, ensuring their development and success.

About You

Required:

8+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience, including customer-facing work.
Experience leading a technical customer-facing team of at least 3 direct reports.
Strong technical background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
Proficiency in writing and reviewing production-grade code using Python and SQL, with a strong understanding of REST APIs.
Ability to break down complex problems and make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
Strong relationship-building skills with technical and business stakeholders.
Excellent written and spoken English.

Preferred:

8+ years of experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solution Engineer, Implementation Specialist, or equivalent in a B2B SaaS company.
Experience leading a larger technical customer-facing team of 5-10 direct reports.
Experience in building AI applications and optimizing statistical and machine learning models.
Familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese.
