COUNTY OF LEHIGH is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join their team in Allentown, PA. The role involves semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on machinery, equipment, and related facilities.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for performing repairs to machinery and equipment, assisting skilled trades personnel, operating vehicles for hauling materials, and conducting routine maintenance. Your daily tasks will include cleaning equipment, keeping work areas organized, and performing various maintenance tasks as assigned.
About You
Required:
Basic knowledge of methods and techniques, tools, materials, and safety precautions in mechanical and structural maintenance.
Ability to operate a dump truck, flatbed truck, and light tractor with attachments.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to keep records of activities.
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy tools and materials.
Preferred:
Education equivalent to completion of the tenth school grade.
Six to twelve months experience in equipment or facility maintenance or repair work.
Benefits
Hourly wage of $20.35.
