About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician Apprentice, you will work under the supervision of experienced technicians to assist in routine maintenance of hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) plant, learn to identify and troubleshoot service outages, support the repair and upgrade of coaxial and fiber-optic lines, and maintain accurate logs of work completed. You will also participate in training sessions to build technical proficiency in the telecommunications industry.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or coursework in electronics or telecommunications a plus.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems or willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Strong desire to learn and grow within the telecommunications field.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with hand tools, meters (signal level meter, voltmeter), or test equipment.
- Basic knowledge of cable TV, broadband internet, or VOIP services.
- Understanding of customer service principles and field safety standards.
