Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their Lumber facility in Warrenton, GA. The role involves performing maintenance tasks on heavy machinery and ensuring operational reliability.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, adhering to safety guidelines, and collaborating with operations associates to improve maintenance processes. You will work in various environmental conditions and be required to lift, climb, and perform other physical tasks for extended periods.
About You
Required:
Three (3) years of experience in wood products or industrial maintenance within a manufacturing, production, or military environment.
Experience with blueprint reading and precision measurements.
Experience troubleshooting issues with bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics & pneumatic systems and reading hydraulic schematics.
Experience with welding and operating a pipe machine.
Preferred:
An associate degree or higher in Industrial Technology.
Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Experience with rigging equipment and knowledge of load weight identification.
