About the Role
As a Machinery Diesel Planner/Estimator, you will be responsible for providing detailed cost estimates, conducting ship checks, developing schedules, and reviewing work specifications. You will analyze blueprints and technical data to prepare labor and material estimates, and ensure compliance with naval standards and specifications.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or science field, or high school diploma with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in writing and reviewing Depot level 4E specifications for marine machinery.
- Comprehensive knowledge of naval machine systems and ship modernization practices.
- Experience with NAVSEA Standard Items and military specifications.
Preferred:
- Experience with fixing Navy and shipboard machinery.
- U.S. Navy surface ship experience.
