About the Role
As a Long Term Care Benefits Planner, you will operate as a case advisor for Insureds, managing a caseload and evaluating their conditions to determine benefit eligibility. You will develop care plans in collaboration with healthcare personnel and assist with claims adjudication. The role requires ongoing communication with Insureds, their families, and care providers, ensuring compliance with insurance contracts and maintaining high standards of integrity and member privacy.
About You
Required:
- RN or social worker with a minimum of three years combined experience in insurance and/or a clinical setting, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years combined experience in insurance and/or clinical setting.
- Ability to review and interpret medical records and assessments for determining eligibility for benefits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred:
- Experience in long term care settings or with geriatric populations.
- Minimum of two years combined experience in long term care insurance claims processing.
