Novate Legal Search is seeking a Legal File Clerk to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves creating and maintaining files, ensuring accurate information in databases, and performing various administrative tasks.
About the Role
As a Legal File Clerk, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining files, indexing pleading/discovery clips, and ensuring all files are properly checked out. You will also liaise with outside storage for file retrieval, maintain an organized file room, and perform routine office tasks such as filing, scanning, and correspondence. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
About You
Required:
Minimum 3 years experience in a law firm/office environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
Outstanding attendance and punctuality.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to use logic and reasoning, problem solving, and exercise good judgment.
Accurate typing and prior exposure to Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to operate computers, photocopiers/scanners, and fax machines.
Valid CA driver's license, vehicle, and active car insurance.
Preferred:
College degree.
