Summary
Berkley Public Entity (a Berkley Company) is seeking a Lead Pricing Actuary to join their team in Morristown, NJ. The role involves supporting the Chief Actuary with pricing analyses, benchmarking, and mentoring analysts.
About the Role
As a Lead Pricing Actuary, you will assist in monitoring key strategic business metrics, perform pricing analyses for large accounts, prepare pricing studies and special studies, coach and mentor analysts, interface with underwriting and product development, and manage data needs for developing proprietary rates.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Mathematics or Actuarial Science.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the Property/Casualty Insurance industry.
- ACAS designation required.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and writing.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Public Entity sector experience.
- Primary focus on the Pricing Practice area.
- Member of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
- Knowledge of SQL language; knowledge of R, Python, etc. is a plus.
