Summary
GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Test Engineer to join their team in Grand Rapids, MI. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues in assembly, test, and inspection operations.
About the Role
As a Lead Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will provide technical support to production teams, develop and improve manufacturing processes, assess tool and equipment needs, coordinate design and procurement of tooling, and drive productivity and quality improvements using Lean principles. You will also participate in New Product Introduction activities and present project status to internal teams.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma/GED with at least 7 years of experience in Manufacturing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Testing.
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience in Testing.
- Experience with electromechanical assemblies, ideally gyroscope manufacturing.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement.
- Strong manufacturing process knowledge and mechanical/electronics design exposure.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
