About the Role
As a Lead Industrial Designer, you will be responsible for leading design activities, creating high fidelity illustrations, and employing user-centered design approaches. You will conceptualize and visualize product designs, articulate specifications for manufacturing, and collaborate cross-functionally to create new products. Additionally, you will coach and mentor designers, maintain quality standards, and stay updated with industry trends.
About You
Required:
- BA or BS in Industrial Design or similar discipline.
- 4+ years of experience working as a designer in small appliances, consumer electronics, medical, or a related field.
- Proficiency with CAD – Solidworks or Rhino required.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering and part design.
Preferred:
- MS in Industrial Design or a related field.
- 2D skills via sketching, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
- Proficiency with 3D rendering programs such as Keyshot.
- A strong original portfolio of creative work that clearly demonstrates a product development process.
