About the Role
As a Lead Autonomy Engineer, you will work independently with cross-functional teams to develop software and system requirements for autonomous vehicles. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and testing robotics software in C/C++, leading code quality activities, tracking technical performance in the field, and providing technical guidance to the support team.
About You
Required:
- 10+ years of industry experience working on real-world robot systems, including implementing at least two commercial projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in robot behavior planning, decision making under uncertainty, path planning, and machine learning.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++.
- Expertise in software development in a Linux environment.
- Familiarity with development tools such as git, valgrind, and gdb.
Preferred:
- Masters or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, or Electrical and Computer Engineering.
- Strong background in robotics areas such as controls and motion planning.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers.
- Strong programming skills in C.
