SierTeK Ltd. is seeking a Senior LAN VoIP Network Specialist II to join their team at Joint Base Andrews, MD and Joint Base Anacostia–Bolling, DC. The role involves providing advanced support, sustainment, and modernization of enterprise voice services for the 844th Communications Group.
About the Role
As a Senior LAN VoIP Network Specialist II, you will be responsible for Tier 2/3 support and lifecycle management of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and integrated voice platforms. Your duties will include administering and managing CUCM, planning the migration of legacy systems to IP-based telephony, providing emergency troubleshooting, and developing documentation for voice/LAN systems.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years hands-on experience in network/voice administration supporting enterprise VoIP (Cisco UC preferred).
- Active DoD Secret clearance (adjudicated and current).
- DoD 8570 IAT II compliant: Security+ (CE) certification.
- Current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) with Voice/Collaboration focus.
Preferred:
- Experience with enhanced 911 (E911) provisioning and location database management.
- Exposure to migration strategies from TDM to SIP trunking/unified edge architectures.
- Familiarity with DoD Unified Capabilities Requirements (UCR) compliance documentation.
- Experience with SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, or equivalent NMS/monitoring suites.
- Scripting (Python, PowerShell) for operational automation.
- Additional certifications: CCNP Security, CCIE Collaboration, ITIL Foundation, CEH, or CISSP (Associate).
