About the Role
As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for receiving and processing specimens, preparing sterile and non-sterile microbiological culture media, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. You will also assist in inventory management, perform quality control testing, and maintain laboratory equipment. The position requires effective communication with submitters and laboratory staff to ensure customer service needs are met.
About You
Required:
- Knowledge of laboratory terminology and procedures.
- Ability to operate scientific equipment and perform manual tasks necessary for receiving packages.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Biological or Physical Science with laboratory coursework.
- Experience in handling hazardous materials and knowledge of safe handling procedures.
