Jobot is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join their manufacturing team in Hamburg, PA. The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
About the Role
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems. You will perform general electrical maintenance on AC systems, power plants, and other related equipment, inspect transformers and circuit breakers, troubleshoot electrical issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This position requires reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics, conducting routine maintenance, and working independently to solve maintenance problems.
About You
Required:
- Proven experience as an electrician.
- Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
- Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.
- Valid license to practice the profession.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
Preferred:
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
- Proven experience with AC, power plant systems, wiring, and PLC.
